Claire Basinki, Senior Project Planner, Transportation Planning recently gave the presentation, “How will we develop the new bicycle master plan for London” ,at the Annual General Meeting for London Cycle Link held in London, Ontario.
The focus of Claire’s session was the cycling master plan MMM Group Limited (MMM) is developing for the city. Work with the City of London started in 2007 to establish an implementation strategy for their 2005 bicycle master plan. Providing a variety of consulting services in the form of cycling and trail planning, design and implementation, and public and stakeholder consultation, MMM’s work to date is being well received.
During the presentation for Cycle Link, a citizen-led organization that thrives on discussion, participation, and engagement, while supporting the needs of people who cycle in the city of London; Claire gave an overview of the intents and purposes of the project, what has been completed to date, and what MMM will be preparing in the future. Cycle Link has been involved with MMM on the master plan study since the beginning, and will continue to be involved through to completion.
