David Rekker, Project Principal in MMM’s Buildings – Sustainability group, is one of several presenters in a day-long course on “Materials in LEEDv4” on June 2, as part of the Canada Green Building Council’s (CaGBC) annual conference.
The theme for this year’s conference in Toronto is Building Lasting Change.
The newest iteration of LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) – v4 as it is called – is already in effect in the U.S. and will be released in Canada, complete with Canadian Alternate Compliance Paths, this June. One of the biggest changes in the new version of LEED will be a more holistic and comprehensive approach to assessing building products. David Rekker sits on the Materials Technical Advisory Group for the CaGBC, so has additional insight into the changes in LEEDv4 in regards to building products.
