A recent project undertaken by MMM’s team in Kingston, the Old Firehall project (251 Ontario Street), has received two awards recognizing the restoration work that was done:
- The Heritage Week Award from the Frontenac Heritage Foundation and the Downtown Kingston Business Improvement Area; in recognition of the contribution that the project made to the enhancement of the unique character of the historic city
- A Certificate of Appreciation from the Frontenac Heritage Foundation; in recognition of the significant contribution to the conservation of 251 Ontario Street – a property granted a Certificate of Commendation
MMM’s contribution to the project included the design and project management of the polychromatic slate roof and copper work.
The Old Firehall project is just one of the successful restoration projects undertaken by the Kingston team, which has significant expertise in stone masonry and copper or slate roofing on heritage buildings.
