Misty Sklar, Manager of Planning in MMM Group’s Edmonton office, is presenting at Infuse Vancouver 2013, the joint annual conference for the Canadian Institute of Planners and the Planning Institute of British Columbia, taking place July 6-9 in downtown Vancouver.
Misty will present as part of the MMM-sponsored Boot Camp: Public Engagement workshop. The session is aimed at a diverse array of professionals who need to interact with the public using leading-edge tools and techniques. A fast-paced 150-minute mental workout will showcase trending communication techniques, exercise creative engagement skills, and balance body language awareness.
Misty is a senior project planner with more than seven years of experience in planning and development. She is a non-verbal body communication and body language practitioner. Misty has a broad range of experience in public consultation, including facilitation, round table discussions, open houses, workshops, and focus groups, as well as in housing research, policy analysis, proposal review, international community development work, and project management.
MMM Group is a Bronze Sponsor of Infuse Vancouver 2013, which plans to ignite participants with strong elements of professional development and a deliberate focus on delegate interaction. The conference program departs from past thematic conferences, using a new and different approach built around skills, tools, career, law, policy, and hands-on learning.
