  • Wednesday, September 18, 11:15 a.m. – Chris Tyrrell, Manager, and Bobby Gauthier, Project Planner, both with MMM’s Planning & Environmental Design group, will present Making Community Improvement Plans Work for Small- and Medium-Sized Communities. Chris and Bobby will address such questions as: What makes a Community Improvement Plan (CIP) successful? How can success be measured? How much should a municipality spend on a CIP?
  • Wednesday, September 18, 1:30 p.m. – Darryl Bird, Senior Project Planner, Planning & Environmental Design andShannon Baker, Senior Landscape Architect and Heritage Consultant, will speak as part of Heritage Conservation District Implementation in Action: A Walking Tour of West Woodfield District. This tour will visually identify how to define defensible district boundaries, the application of heritage design guidelines in action, and the interplay of the built form and landscape in defining heritage character.
  • Thursday, September 19, 10:45 a.m. – Randall Roth, Senior Planner and Project Manager, and Chris Tyrrell, Manager, Planning & Environmental Design, will present Revitalizing Downtowns on the Water’s Edge in the Face of Flooding Hazards. Through a design charrette, this session will explore creative solutions for revitalizing the downtowns of smaller urban communities that are faced with the additional challenges posed by flooding hazards.
