MMM Group Limited (MMM) will be actively involved in the upcoming 2014 Ontario Bike Summit (OBS), taking place April 14-15 in Toronto.
Featuring Glen Murray, Canada’s Minister of Transportation and Infrastructure, as a keynote speaker, the 6th annual OBS will bring together cycling experts from across Ontario and North America to network, exchange ideas, and share best practices. Several of our active transportation experts will be participants in the event, and MMM will have a booth.
MMM’s Dave McLaughlin will moderate the Tools for Municipalities: New Bikeway Design Guidelines for Ontario workshop on April 14 from 11:30 a.m. – 12:45 p.m. The session will provide vital information about three topics of importance to the design, implementation and operation of cycling facilities in Ontario: the Provincial Bikeway Design Manual, the Ontario Traffic Manual Book 18: Cycling Facilities, and Municipal Risk and Liability. The workshop presenters include MMM’s Dave Richardson and Jim Dowell, as well as representatives from the Ontario Ministry of Transportation.
A recognized leader in the provision of pedestrian and bicycle facility planning and design, MMM is committed to developing reliable, user-friendly active transportation facilities that promote healthy and active lifestyles, as well as leading outreach and promotional programs that educate and motivate people to take advantage of these facilities.
