MMM’s Port Mann / Highway 1 Improvement Project has won its fourth award. This past May, our joint effort with HMM earned the 2015 National Award for an Engineering Project or Achievement from Engineers Canada.
This award is given to outstanding projects or achievements that have had a major positive effect on society, the industry, and / or engineering, while recognizing engineering accomplishments involving Canadian engineers.
The 37 km highway corridor is a key transportation link connecting the Lower Mainland communities from Vancouver to Langley. With the major improvements to the bridge and the Trans-Canada Highway, this significant transportation project improves both transit routes and the movement of people and goods through Metro Vancouver.
As part of the joint venture, design-build team MMM provided geomatics support, transportation design and management, including construction review and certification.
