Bayview Station Area Community Design Plan

Provides a framework for managing the site, which will become an increasingly desirable mixed-use community

  • Currently the site of under-utilized and vacant land, Bayview Station is a central stop on the Ottawa Confederation Line transit route, which will become an increasingly desirable mixed-use community
  • Plan aimed to enhance existing community assets while encouraging high-density, high-quality development that addresses the design challenges associated with the existing mosaic of superblocks, grade separations, arterial roads, bridges, and rail lines that act as barriers to active mobility in the area
  • Conducted a series of open houses to present the refined concept plan on this guiding policy document
  • Supported the City’s preparation of the implementing Secondary Plan and Zoning By-law Amendment
