Calgary’s largest infrastructure project
The project creates transit-oriented development opportunities and will increase the overall sustainability of the city.
As of 2012, this extension is the first new LRT line in Calgary in 20 years. The line will feature two park-and-ride lots and six stations – one of the stations will be elevated and another will be underground, a first for LRT stations in Calgary. The project involves 8-km extension of the existing LRT line from downtown to 69th street.
