GO Transit Rail Infrastructure Improvement Program

  • MMM Group Limited was a member of a consortium selected by GO Transit to provide program management services for an $820M, seven-year expansion program to enhance rail service throughout the greater Toronto service area
  • The program included improvements to Lakeshore East and West rail corridors; rail-to-rail grade separations on the Georgetown, Bradford, and Stouffville rail corridors; Georgetown corridor improvements including the airport rail link; infrastructure for the Barrie rail service extension from Bradford to Barrie; Milton rail corridor improvements and layover; and station improvements on various other corridors
  • MMM’s specific responsibilities included management of environmental assessments, public consultations, government agency and stakeholder coordination, procurement, technical reviews, environmental compliance, operational analysis, and oversight of more than 80 consultant and construction contracts
  • Key factors contributing to the success of this project include the use of innovative and leading-edge technologies, introduction of alternative procurement processes, and establishing partnerships with stakeholders
