Retained by the Ontario Traffic Council to develop the province's primary reference document on bicycle facilities

  • Completion of this primary reference document used by engineers, planners and designers throughout Ontario
  • Contains information on legal requirements, standards, best practices, procedures, guidelines and recommendations for the justification, planning, design, timing and operation of bicycle facilities and control measures
  • A comprehensive literature review of bicycle facility design guidelines, standards, best practices, and legislation across local, provincial, national and international jurisdictions was conducted, and the information evaluated through a road safety and human factors perspective
  • Includes proposed amendments to the Ontario Highway Traffic Act as it relates to on-road cycling
