South Foothills Transmission Line Project

To accommodate significant population growth in the area, MMM provided geomatics services to replace the electrical transmission system serving the Calgary region, which had not been upgraded since 1985

MMM Group was retained by SNC Lavalin to provide a turnkey geomatics solution in support of the planning, design, and construction of a new 135–km, double-circuit, and 240-kV transmission line. The combination of airborne LiDAR, a global navigation satellite system, and conventional survey technologies and methodologies were used to complete the project
