Police facility achieves LEED Silver designation

This facility houses administrative functions, emergency support (explosives disposal, canine unit, collision reconstruction), investigative services (major crimes, organized crimes, forensic identification), evidence storage, information services, maintenance facilities for police vehicles, and a three-level above-ground parking garage.

Design features of this building include access control systems; video surveillance; software integration requirements; displacement ventilation; under-floor air distribution; condensing-type boilers; optimized equipment efficiencies for fans, chillers, and pumps, as well as a green roof, programmable lighting control, and low-flow water fixtures.

  • MMM provided mechanical, electrical, structural, and security engineering services, as well as landscape architecture input, master site plan development, establishment of detailed design, preparation of contract documents, and provision of contract administration services for this $52.5M, 230,000-ft2 police facility
