MMM Group’s Steve Kemp, Manager, Sustainability – Buildings, won the Green Building Champion Leadership Award at the Canada Green Building Council Awards in Toronto.

The award recognized Steve as one of Canada’s experts in sustainable building design, green technology research, and building energy simulations. In addition to work on dozens of green building projects across North America, Steve has led the industry as a LEED Faculty, a Technical Advisory Group Chair at the CaGBC, and President of the International Building Performance Simulation Association. Steve leads MMM’s Sustainability group in the Buildings division, leading a team he joined straight out of university in 1995.

The Green Building Champion Award recognizes a deserving individual who demonstrates exceptional achievement in advocating for CaGBC’s core interests, programs, and priorities. The awards recognize the top contributors to the green building field at a gala during the annual CaGBC conference. MMM’s David Rekker, Braden Kurczak, and Steve Kemp were expert sustainability speakers at the conference which ran June 2-4 and brought hundreds of green building professionals to the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.
